A good morning for Midlothian – a 2.5/0.5 win over East Lothian in the Foursomes.
Louise Fraser & Alison McBride played Jill McNicol & Alyssa Balding, winning 3 & 2. After losing the third they never looked back – playing par golf consistently to keep their noses in front.
Kate McIntosh & Alison McBride had a battle royal against Joanne Free & Lesley Atkins to come off the 18th with a well deserved draw. Our players were never up and did a great job to keep the opposition in their sights then close down the lead.
Our third couple, Caroline Steedman & Karen Ferguson-Snedden, took the lead from the third and never looked back. They only lost a hole when Caroline tried to bring the toilet wall into play at the 10th – a risky shot! Nothing daunted they retrieved their lead , going on to win 5/4.
