Winter is finally over!

All those of you who remember the floods and winds, and the snows and volcanic ash clouds of winter 2009/2010, will also remember the havoc they all played with the Winter Foursomes. Well, I’m delighted to be able to report that we are now through that period and can move on to summer safe in the knowledge that the final of the Winter Foursomes has been played!

Tuesday night saw Sharon Macpherson and Fiona Hunter (Baberton) take on Maureen MacKay and Katharine Logan (Kingsknowe and Baberton) at Baberton Golf Club and I received word yesterday that the winners were Maureen and Katharine. Congratulations to you both on your long awaited win!
