What a gorgeous day for our Summer Meeting – the shine shone from morning until the evening girls came in and temperatures remained warm throughout the day. It was wonderful to hold our meeting at Glencorse during their Ladies’ Centenary Year and grateful thanks to the Glencorse ladies for providing us all with a centenary ball marker and pencil at registration.
To mark holding our competition during their centenary year, all groups had their photograph taken by the Glencorse photographer and you can view all the photos here.
A total of 54 members played with Letty MacKinnon even taking a wee paddle before putting out!
Everything ran smoothly with grateful thanks to our Secretary, Maureen and Mags Hobbins, who is helping us with competitions. Some great golf was played in perfect conditions, as shown by the results.
We are very grateful to Glencorse Golf Club for accommodating us today and to the standard of the Course kept by the greenkeepers. The greens were in excellent condition despite the spell of warm weather we’ve been enjoying.
We were well looked after by all the Team at Glencorse. The Clubhouse was well prepared and welcoming and the catering on offer provided some players with a tasty treat after their golf. Huge thanks go to everyone involved!
Special thanks to Glencorse members Kay Field, Sara-Jayne Reid, Annette Hardie, Jackie Sneddon, Caroline Kinnaird and Jane Browitt for all their time and support, it is very much appreciated . All our volunteers are there to ensure the check in and score return runs smoothly and are on hand to answer any general queries members have. Your support at these events is hugely appreciated and valued – thank you .
