The first MCLGA junior on course coaching session took place over the Templar Golf Course on Saturday afternoon. It was a gorgeous day for golf but unfortunately with all the rain we’d had over the previous 2 days it was rather soggy underfoot. That did not dampen the girls spirits and 18 girls aging between 8 to 15 years, made their way round the course. A huge thank you to our MCLGA helpers (Sarah Ledingham, Gail Joughin, Ali Tyrie, Lorna Hay Smith, Yvonne Wilson and Kate Rorke) who provided encouragement, rules and etiquette to help build the girls confidence and prepare them for when they start to venture onto the golf course on their own.
If any MCLGA member is willing to help at our other events on 15 April and 14 September then please get in touch. Without volunteers we are unable to support our young juniors in their golfing pathway who are ultimately our future County members.
