This month 8 enthusiastic juniors took part in the mothly 9-hole competition at the Princes Course. On a lovely day, although slightly windy, Emma Morrison continued her good form playing to her handicap, while Heather Laing was 1 over her handicap. In the non-handicap section, Julia Smith had another good score as did Erin Hardy who hit a tremendous drive at the 9th hole straight through the green. Carys Hardy, struggling with a new grip, came in third and when she got her new grip right, struck the ball exceptionally well. Joanna Lamb had a fabulous 4 at the 4th hole and great shots were hit by both Lisa MacPherson and Cara McCorquodale.

Well done girls and thanks again to all the helpers.

Before we get to today’s results, a quick congratulations to Julia Smith who yesterday took part in the Par-3 Open Championships which were being held at Swanston Golf Club. Julia won through in her section and had made it successfully to the quarter-finals when rain stopped play! She is waiting to hear when the remaining rounds are to be played but we wish her all the best for the remainder of the competition.
