Another glorious day for a MCLGA event, this time at Liberton Golf Club for the Commonwealth Spoons. Not only was the sun shining for our competitors the course was in excellent condition for them. The Commonwealth Spoons is a foursome strokeplay competition which runs as a qualifying competition for the Scottish Final, organised by Scottish Golf, to compete for the Commonwealth Spoons donated by the Australian Ladies Golf Union. 10% of the field (7 couples today) will qualify to play at Pollock GC (Glasgow) on Monday 2nd September. Thanks to everybody who bought raffle squares supporting our Juniors. The total amount raised was £188. The winners were –

£132 (70% of amount raised) went towards MCLGA junior funds.

On behalf of MCLGA we would like to extend our thanks to the Liberton green staff for the presentation of the course, the pro shop, the bar and catering and the office staff who all helped ensure a smooth event ran today. Thanks to all our volunteers today, officials, members and Liberton members for desk duties.

Entries will open online on Wednesday 15th May 2019 (please remember and pay at the same time as completing the entry) and entries will close on Wednesday 12th June.
