Alannah Nichol, at the age of 11, has won the Ladies’ Championship at Swanston Golf Club.
She defeated defending champion Susan Greenfield by 5&4 in the final & in doing so equalled a record held by Carly Booth, who in 2003, aged 11, became the youngest winner of a ladies’ championship in Great Britain.
After holing a 15 foot putt on the 8th to go 4 up Alannah holed a par putt on the 14th to clinch the victory.
