What an amazing day on the Templar Golf Course. 13 Braid junior girls attended an on course coaching session from 5 MCLGA squad members/club representatives. A huge thank you to Isla McCrone, Karen Ferguson Snedden, Elaine Lumsden, Jan Thomson and Kate Rorke for giving up their Sunday afternoon to encourage our juniors and provide some valuable advice while playing 9 holes of golf. The girls attending ranged from the age of 7 – 15 years and all had fun and enjoyed the beautiful weather and warm temperatures for November. The girls have been working hard on their swings at the Braids driving range each month and their dedication has paid off with every girl improving on their score from March. The girls were amazing, as we all know, its not easy performing in front of an audience. The younger ones laughed when they put the ball in the burn as their Dad/Grandad had to go and retrieve it and might fall in! They giggled if they didn’t hit their best shot or missed it. Everyone was so supportive of each other with cheers when good shots were hit or putts went in. It was all about having fun and hopefully this continues for a long time. Fantastic and well done everyone.
