Having recovered (ever so slightly!) from this weekend’s huge disappointment, it is time to turn our attention back to the golfing calendar. This week sees not only the final of the Commonwealth Spoons but also the annual Gibson Challenge Cup.
The Commonwealth Spoons Final, which was won last year by Suzanne Ireland (Prestonfield)and Diane Moncreiff (Lochend), takes place on Thursday at Longniddry Golf Club. Good luck to all who have qualified and are playing. The times for the Midlothian players are:

The 2009 Gibson Challenge Cup kicks off with the medal foursomes round on Saturday. It is again being held at the Braids Golf Course with, this year, seeing an entry of 52 pairs Best of luck to all those who are taking part in this event.
