The Summer Meeting eventually took place at Craigmillar Park yesterday and we had an altogether different day weather wise than we had on the monsoon hit original date. 57 ladies took part. The early scores were not great and most found the greens tricky and the rough punishing. But the late competitors seemed to find it to their likeing with three gross scores of 72 being posted by Karen Ballantyne (Craigmillar Park), Linda Bain (Lochend) and Wendy Nicholson (Broomieknowe). Wendy took the honours with the better inward half, There were only two 2’s recorded by Karen Ballantyne and Morag Wardrop (Turnhouse).
