I am delighted to announce our team for the Scottish County Finals being played at Eyemouth Golf Club on Friday 30th August, Saturday 31st August and final match day on Sunday 1st September.
The selection committee (myself, Vice-Captain Wendy Nicholson, Selector Linda Wemyss and Elaine Lumsden) reviewed performances this season across our squad, including 5 a-side match play, Champion of Champions, our knockouts, both club and County championships and general play scores.
The team selected are:
Anne Hanson (Turnhouse), Caroline Steedman (Murrayfield), Hilary Laughland – Hogg (Mortonhall) Karen Marshall (Baberton), Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe), Megan Fallon (Broomieknowe), Rachael Livingstone (Baberton), Wendy Nicholson (Baberton), and Nicky Graham (Baberton) will be our travelling reserve.
A big thank you to our volunteer caddies- Gail Mathieson, Jacky Burnett, Letty Mackinnon, Pat Wood, Gill Petrie, Angela Hughes, Moyra Statham, Caroline McIntosh, Kate Rorke, and Lucy Fraser.
As you may remember, MCLGA were successful last year at Hilton Park G.C. in winning this event – fingers crossed we can rise again and retain the County challenge trophy!
The team will be practising on Thursday but all supporters will be very welcome on match days – hope to see some of you at Eyemouth!
