Midlothian County Ladies Golf Association has a flourishing Girls Section. Please contact the Junior Secretary Caroline Steedman at juniors@mclga.com for more details about Junior membership and coaching or if you have any questions. Junior Membership is £10 for the calendar year.
We organise monthly coaching sessions held at the Braid Hills Driving Range on the first Sunday of each month throughout the year (except July and August). These are aimed at girls either wanting to get started with golf or to improve their skills. These sessions are coached by Professional golfers based at Braid Hills Driving Range. They are fun sessions and have an opportunity to make friends, receive feedback on their golf, encourage them to join clubs, gain handicaps and enter competitions.
The next block of Braids Coaching starts up again on Sunday 1st September and runs through to 12th January 2019, cost remains the same at £35 and dates are as follows:
1st September
6th October
3rd November
1st December
12th January
Don’t delay, to book into the coaching today, please refer to – https://mclga.com/junior-coaching/
To put those skills learned at the range into practice we hold 9-hole competitions once a month at Swanston Templar Course (every 3rd Sunday 9:30am) and these are open to all girls with or without a handicap and is £5 to enter. The bi-annual Adult/Girl competition proves to be particularly popular!
The Junior Development Squad is a select group of girls with a handicap ready to take their golf to the next level with a structured coaching programme under the expert tuition of Ian Muir, held at Kingsfield Golf & Leisure Centre. This takes place on Sunday mornings from October to April and it consists of 50 hours in total.
Hopefully Midlothian County Ladies Golf will be meeting some new young recruits into the golfing world at Braid Hills Driving Range 🏌️♀️⛳️😎😃
