What a gorgeous day we had today at Murrayfield Golf Club for the Spring Meeting. The sun shone from dawn until dusk and for one or two of us the golf was superb! With a few call offs from members stranded throughout the world, 99 ladies eventaully took part. A couple of net 66s led the way, one from early starter, Pam Townsend and the other from late morning starter, Sandra Dickson. The best scratch was posted by Hilary Laughland who wins the Cormack Salver with a gross 75. How could one not enjoy being out on the course in the weather we had today?

Our thanks go to all at Murrayfield Golf Club who helped to make the day a success, especially Secretary John Fraser, the professional shop and the bar and catering staff who looked after us all very well. Thanks also to Ray Lynch and Sheila Hunter who kindly gave time to help out on the check in desk and to all the ladies who donated prizes for the raffle and bought tickets. We raised £127.15 for the County Juniors – don’t ask where the 15p came from!
