Firstly, Karen Ferguson-Snedden (Mortonhall) for her achievements in Seniors and County Golf, particularly for becoming Scottish Seniors Champion for three consecutive years, a fantastic achievement. In addition to this fabulous and unique achievement, Karen has also been selected for Scottish Senior Home Internationals in 2021, 2022 (winning Team member) and 2023; been selected for European Senior Team Championships in 2022 and 2023, was Scottish Veteran Ladies Champion in 2022,  East Division Veteran Ladies Champion in 2022 and 2023,  Champion of Champions in 2016, East of Scotland Champion in 2019, County Champion Runner Up in both 2022 and 2023, a winning Team member in East of Scotland Team Championship in 2019 and 2022, a  winning Team member in East of Scotland Inter County Matches (Jamboree) in 2023, 2017, 2021, 2016, 2018   and  2015 and lastly – for now , a winning Team member Interclub Tournament in both 2022 and 2023.

Secondly, Maggie McPherson (Baberton) for her services to golf. Maggie was Midlothian Captain in 2005-6 and was one of our many successful Captains leading the County Team to victory in the Inter County Matches for the first time in 17 years and then going on to win County Finals for the first time in 70 Years!!  The County recognises the foundations that Maggie’s captaincy built and have supported the County’s further successes since.

For many years she was a regular caddie for the County Team and since hanging up her bib, she continues to be an avid supporter of Midlothian, making her way, by hook or by crook, to the majority of events to support the Team, and she is always a welcome face. Maggie is being recognised, in particular, for her services to junior golf. Maggie became Chairman of East of Scotland Girls in 2008 and she has continued her volunteering role for some 15 years. Her organisational skills are second to none and no stone goes unturned when Maggie is in charge. She has encouraged many youngsters to compete and is delighted to watch many of them become great County and international players.

Thank you to both Karen and Maggie – for their efforts, achievements and support of Midlothian
