What an amazing day we had for the Braid Junior girls first Competition over the Wee Braids course. The weather was fabulous and the views stunning as you can see from some of the photos. If you haven’t wandered over Wee Braids for a while go for a stroll its beautiful and certainly challenging. The girls ranged from age 9 to 16 and were not phased by how tough the course is. They happily walked up the hills hitting their shots and even given the chance to take the ball to the edge of the green to putt they were determined to carry on. Well done everyone for completing the 9 holes which was their first 9 holes for some of them. Thank you also to our MCLGA helpers of Diane Neave (Mortonhall) and Judith Campbell (Lochend) as well as the parent helpers who were excellent ball spotters and kept the girls motivated and moving along. It was a fun afternoon with some great golf displayed on a very tight and tough golf course. Thank you to our MCLGA Captain, Isla for presenting the prizes to our winners on the day.
