We eventually got the second coaching session completed on the Templar Golf Course for our Braid Juniors. It should’ve taken place in September but due to torrential rain is was rescheduled to today. Swanston were very kind by keeping the course open despite the rain overnight. A huge thank you to Swanston for encouraging our junior girls and welcoming them to the Templar. Also a big thank you to Caroline Mansley, Anne McLean, Yvonne Wilson, Lis Daly and Muriel Gilligan for giving up their time and helping with the juniors today. Despite it being very wet underfoot it did not dampen the girls spirits and they tee’d off with smiles on their faces. Some returned with very wet feet but Anna Ford gets the prize of the day for wearing her wellies – it was certainly the best foot attire for the day! Its great to see the girls consolidate their scoring round the course especially given today’s conditions and in some instance make vast improvements. The best score of the day was from Ava Mathieson with an amazing 32, 26 shots better than her previous round. Well done everyone and keep swinging over the winter months and your scores will continue to improve.
