Only two girls were at the Hermitage yesterday and enjoyed the support of the crowd on their way round the course! Both Emma Morrison, fresh from her appearance in her first ever SLGA event (the U14s), and Caitlin Turner impressed the followers with their fabulous golf. Even although Emma lost a ball in the very, very deep, thick rough at the 8th hole, having hit a lovely shot which just ran over the back of the green never to be seen again, she recorded a gross 9 over par 56 for the 12 holes. Caitlin, acknowledging claps from the dog walkers on her way round, was equally impressive with a 13-over par score of 60.

With 1 month to go in the running competition, July’s score extends Emma’s lead in the handicap section and moves Caitlin into first place in the non-handicap section, 3 points ahead of Kim Naysmith.
