Another great day for Team Midlothian. All the players went out with full respect for their opposition but Midlothian went with no fear. Day 2 was crunch day, we needed to keep the pressure on and keep the Team in position for day 3. The players kept their cool, yet again all performed really well and the results were coming our way. One or two big wins and the small losses keeps us in contention in case of count back. Players were asked to get in their zone early, focus, and attack right from the start and that’s exactly what they went out and did. All credit to the Team on the day, performance was good and we closed the day with a 5 1/2 – 2 1/2 win.
East Lothian triumphed over Fife 5-3 today. Two teams head into day 3 with 2 match points and two teams on 1 match point, however its all to play for on day 3 for all the Counties. The Tournament Committee have been well prepared for the big count back just in case.
Day 3 will start at 1106 with Fife V Midlothian and 1210 East Lothian V Stirling & Clackmannan. We look forward to seeing some spectators on the day. Please respect all covid guidelines and social distancing measures. Oh, and bring your waterproofs.
