Scotland is spilt into 4 County Divisions and Midlothian fall in the East Division. Each Division have an annual Inter County Tournament whereby 4 Counties (3 in the South) play a round robin Tournament to determine an overall winner. The overall winner from each Division qualify to play in the Scottish County Finals Tournament later in the year against the other Divisional overall winners. The County Finals is organised by Scottish Golf Ltd.
The Inter County qualifying matches were not played in 2020 due to Covid-19 however it is returning this year and Midlothian are host to the event. The venue is Kingsknowe Golf Club Friday 2nd July to Sunday 4th July. Normally the event has morning foursome matches and afternoon singles matches but this year the East and West Division of Scotland are having 8 singles matches each day. Spectators are welcome. Midlothian have set the matches up so scoring can be watched live through the SGL APP. All going well with the new system, anybody who has the SGL APP downloaded on their phone can watch the live scores. Log into the SGL APP, tap on the SGL logo top left of screen and select Midlothian as the venue. Bottom bar area click on ‘comps’. Top bar area Members click on ‘Club’ and ‘Future’. Non Members should click on ‘Open’ and ‘Future’. The matches have been loaded here. Matches have been numbered match 1 to match 6 for the 3 day Tournament.
