At the 104th AGM held last week Isla McCrone stood down after 2 years in role, and Caroline Mansley was voted in as incoming Captain. I hope you would all agree, Isla has done a tremendous job, and has left the County in great shape. Here is a short bio for those of you who were unable to attend the AGM or haven’t met Caroline yet.

Caroline started golfing as a teenager at West Lancashire golf club in north west England, a breezy links course which prepared her well for golfing in Scotland. Having moved to Edinburgh where she has lived for almost 30 years, she joined Dalmahoy in 1998, her favourite memory is winning the Open Greensomes a year later playing with her Mum. After moving to Cramond, she joined Ratho Park in 2007 ( a shorter but equally demanding course), balancing a global executive role and extensive travel, she was a member of the winning Morison Millar team in 2018 and was Lady Captain 2019/20.

Currently a member of Bruntsfield Links Caroline has recently ticked a bucket list item and managed to get to single figures,  maintaining that is her 2024 new target!

Caroline has worked to develop Scottish sport through her voluntary roles as Chair of Netball Scotland and past non-executive director of Scottish Golf. Caroline is passionate about the role of sport in the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and mental health and particularly the encouragement of young people to participate and develop to the highest level.
