Many thanks go to Ian Young of the Braids Golf Centre and Steve at American Golf for continuing to sponsor the Gibson Cup. We were delighted to welcome to our prize giving the Chief Executive of Edinburgh Leisure June Peebles. June is keen to support the development of girls and womens golf in Edinburgh so I hope we made a positive impression with our numbers, golf and our enthusiasm for this event.
All of us at the Gibson Cup weekend are most grateful to Edinburgh Leisure for their support year on year by hosting this great event over The Braid Hills course. It really is a gem of a course and was in excellent condition as always.
We ran a charity raffle over the weekend in aid of MND Scotland in memory of a good friend of many of us and a former competitor. Thanks to such generosity by all I will be sending £410 to MND Scotland.
2017 event will take place on 7th and 8th October see you all then.
