East of Scotland Champion and Champions

Quite a number of MCLGA members played today in the East of Scotland Ladies Championship at North Berwick.  Some were playing North Berwick for the first time.  The course was much admired and enjoyed although found challenging by many.  Gilly Glen, Caroline Steedman, Catherine Wilkie and Morag Wardrop came home with good net 77s and Wendy Nicholson had a net 76. Mairi Pollock just missed a handicap prize with a net 74.  Our own Karen Ferguson-Snedden had the lowest gross of 73 and is East of Scotland Ladies Champion 2019.  The runner up with 74 was also our own Kate McIntosh (on the better inward half from Grace Crawford).  Our team consisting of Karen Ferguson-Snedden, Kate McIntosh, Karen Marshall (79) and Jennifer Bryans (80) won the team trophy by a considerable margin.  Well done the Champions  and everyone who played.  Thanks to ELLGA and particularly Jane Nelson and Jenni Ray for organising it all so efficiently.  And the rain stayed away till the last hole of the last group.
