We invited 18 players into the Squad for 2020 with a view to pick a team of 8 and 1 reserve for the Inter County Matches, Saturday 4th to Monday 6th July at Kingsknowe GC. 16 players were able to accept the invite. Some of the squad met with the juniors and played a 9 hole fun match at Turnhouse on Sunday 26th January, previously reported.
Short game clinics will commence in February at Kings Acre Golf Academy. A recent change means the squad will now meet with Alistair MacLean for at least 2 of the 3 sessions and the 3rd session will likely be with Ross Millar.
In March a team of 10 will play against the Borders County on the 1st at Newbattle GC and a team of 10 will play against Lanarkshire County on the 29th, venue tbc.
We will continue with some intra-squad sessions where the players will be paired up and play against each other to allow more games between themselves and understand each others games to benefit foursomes format.
