East Lothian County kindly run the annual Babe Zaharias event. This year it is scheduled for Monday 17th August at Muirfield GC with £30 entry fee.
In anticipation the green light will be given for Amateur Open events on or before 17th August, entries will be received via East Lothian County web site BRS system from Monday 13th July 0800. If Open events are not allowed to take place, a full refund will be given by East Lothian. Play will be in 3balls with 10 minute intervals from 0800 to 1630. Maximum Handicap will be 30. Closing date for entry is 5pm Friday 31st July. If the event is oversubscribed and you cannot get a tee time, you should email ellcga2@gmail.com to get put on the waiting list.
Buggies may only be used if medical circumstances require this. Permission to use a buggy must be sought from the organising committee – please email ellcga2@gmail.com. The Terms of Competition this year will state that caddies are not permitted. This will be reviewed with the latest advice from Scottish Golf /R&A and to make other necessary arrangements for returning scores, rakes in bunkers etc.
Toilet facilities will be available in the clubhouse and on the course but we are unsure at this time if catering and refreshments will be available.
Proceeds will go to MacMillan Cancer Charity. £4,400 was donated last year.
