The Autumn Meeting took us to Glencorse GC and the last time MCLGA had an event here for their members was the Spring Meeting in 2012 where 89 players turned out. Although a little cooler of late it was quite warm for the time of year and we had a fairly wet start for the earlier golfers of the day. The day brightened up to be warm and very pleasant and then the light got quite deceiving for the last lot of golfers in the field. Although 46 players entered, 38 played on the day.
Defending the scratch trophy, The Lady Ford Cup, was Jennifer Bryans (Harburn) and unfortunately Liz Riach (Merchants) was unavailable to defend the Best Net Overall trophy, the McIntyre Trophy.
The final golf meeting of 3 would also determine our aggregate winners of the season for the Bronze Net Oppenheim Quaich, Silver Net Oppenheim Quaich and the Scratch Antonio Salver. All will be revealed at the AGM and Presentation of Prizes on Wednesday 20th November at Liberton GC. Hopefully we will see many of you there.
