Following our selection meeting last week, (Selectors Linda Wemyss and Elaine Lumsden), I would like to announce the team who will represent Midlothian Ladies County at the 2024 East Division Inter County finals (Jamboree):
Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe), Rachael Livingstone (Baberton), Freya Constable (Prestonfield) Louise Fraser (Kingsknowe), Hilary Laughland-Hogg (Mortonhall), Megan Fallon (Broomieknowe), Molly Nicholson (Gullane), Caroline Steedman (Murrayfield). Travelling Reserve is Lucy Morrison (Kingsknowe)
Selection is based on competition performance (club, county and open meetings), engagement and participation in the warm-ups and squad friendlies held over the winter.
Practice day is Saturday 29th June (afternoon tee times), with match days following on Sunday 30th June, Monday 1st July and the last day of play on Tuesday 2nd July.
Matches will be played against the other 3 counties in the East Division, Fife, East Lothian and Stirling & Clackmannanshire. The winners proceed to the Scottish County Finals to be played at Eyemouth ( 31st Aug – 2nd Sept)
I hope many of you will consider coming to Balbirnie Park G.C. Fife, to support the squad as they start to defend last years success of winning the 2024 County finals.
